    Default $100nl AK

Cant seem to get the files out of PT. I misclicked checked the flop, meant to bet $30 and I guess cry-call a shove. Now, all I can think about is folding.

    Here's the hand
    Eff. Stacks ~$100

    Dealt to Hero(SB) :As: :Kd:

2 limps, TAGG makes it $5 OTB, I make it $20, 3 folds, TAGG calls

    Flop ($41): :Ac: :Qc:
Hero checks, TAGG shoves ($80ish), Hero folds

I don't think I can ever fold that.

    I suck at $100NL though.

I dunno what he's pushing with that you don't have beat. Does he push a set? Does he push AQ? Flush draws, lower pairs with flush draws, weaker aces ... there are so many more hands that you beat.

Okay, now someone can reply and tell me that I shouldn't try to reply to HHs in the 6 max forum until I'm actually good at poker.

Edit: OMG you added math to it NO

Good fold. Villain probably ahead and I'd say AT BEST you have two outs (kings)

C-Bee, I'd be scared here with a good hand cos of the flush draw. So I'd be betting at least pot ($40), but $40 leaves so little behind that I wouldn'' be able to meaningfully bet the turn, so the only real play with a hand like a set is to push or check behind.

I don't like your reraise size pre. I raise smaller, somewhere between 14-16.

As played I'm thinking you have the same hand, idk what I do here I don't mind a fold because I just really don't know what you beat.

smaller 3-bet preflop helps here. I cant resist firing the flop here, but after leading out you are priced in to call. As played i dont see what you beat.
eeevees are not monies yet...they are like baby monies.

I don't think you can call this. It's 2:3 and I think your range of villain is too wide. You're probably not far ahead or way behind, so I like your fold and I'd play the flop the same.

3-betting smaller preflop would have left more room indeed.
But isn't that too much results oriented?
If the flop was A rag we would be glad we build a pot preflop because we probably get only 1 street of value postflop then.

If my point isn't true, would this 3-bet size actually be better with AA?

Op probably practised the 4x OOP 3-bet rule, which is pretty good when villains raise was 3-4BB.
What odds are we looking for to give when 3-betting? I guess call/stack ratio (implied odds)? We basically don't want to give him set odds and that's it?

Hmm. i played at this level forever and im pretty sure i would call this. I think you beat the majority of hands that are doing this. Are two pair/set/flushs shoving? I think you see hands more along the lines of KQ with the K of clubs or something than you do a hand that has you dominated.

Cant we just like bet $30-35ish and call a shove? I mean, an aggro player will be shoving a ton here and if we bet, Id imagine we would get odds to call. Or am I just retarded?

Andy, exactly what I meant to do, except I timed out and checked....then that happened.
