Default $50NL - Never sure how to play these spots?

These spots are always quite awkward for me given the stack sizes and this is a tricky turn card combined with a drawy board. What's the best move here? Don't have much table time with the villian but he seems loose-passive.

    MP: $50.25
    CO: $65.40
    BTN: $49.25
    Hero (SB): $42.50
    BB: $50.00
    UTG: $29.25

Pre Flop: ($0.75) Hero is SB with J J
UTG calls $0.50, 3 folds, Hero raises to $3, BB calls $2.50, UTG calls $2.50

    Flop: ($9.00) 7 8 6 (3 players)
Hero bets $7, BB folds, UTG calls $7

    Turn: ($23.00) A (2 players)
    Hero ????

bet/fold....he isn't raising you with worse and you definately don't want to give a free card to a range that's full of draws.

With villains stack size, I just push him in and hope he thinks I'm just repping the Ace. The only way the Ace helps him after the flop should be A8 or AhXh. Too many turn cards suck to allow him to see another card for free. Poosh.

If stacks were 100BB deep I would Bet/Fold fo sho. I also bet $8-9 on the flop on a very drawy board.

Bet. Because eventually its going to matter what your range is in this spot and its great to be able to merge here so you can get some sick 3 streets of value from 8x 7x 99, 1010 etc.

    Pushing in makes no sense.

b/f is pretty standard, but with stack sizes I dont mind a small bet and call a push.
Just dipping my toes back in.

Out of interest... and maybe this is totally goofy (probably)... but if we plan on bet calling or just shoving and getting all the chips in anyway... isnt a check raise all in a possible line which gets him to commit with draws or marginal hands. Or do we not want to risk giving a free card and seeing a really scary one peel off?

Am I missing something here? How the fuck are we going to b/f the turn?
Effective stacks are 60BB. We have 1/3 of our effective stack in on the flop and the pot is 46BB before our turn bet.
So are we planning to bet 20BB on the turn then fold getting 5:1 on the call?
Villain could easily have junk 20% of the time. Although that is probably just the thinking that gets me paying off these retards. I guess my feeling that we are committed after any bet is just one of my many leaks. Uggg.

I have the same question. Pot is $23 and villain has < $20 left - bet/fold is a really weird thing to do under the circumstances, especially since we can figure from villain's stack size and hero's description of him that he's terrible and may get a case of the fuck-its any second now. I think if you want to play it in that direction, check/fold > bet/fold, but just pushing may be better than both of those.

Also, I like a larger flop bet specifically because of the board texture and this guy's stack size. Pot it and and the turn decision becomes a complete no-brainer: you can't fold unless the ten of hearts comes off.

god it tilts me when people dont actually read the OP and now I've done it myself. Yeah theres less than pot behind and hes probably passive and terrible so just shove.
