how do you decide whether you'd bluff this river, and if so how much would you bet. if he has a K i dont think these types of players would ever fold right? i can fold out a hand like TJss or something..

    your second barrel is good

in this hand your range looks strong, KK/JJ/AA/AK are all possible.
your opponents' range looks like: missed draw/Kx/KJ and 55/88. the majority of his range looks pretty weak, most of it should fold to a river shove. if his showdown % is pretty high he might not fold KT/KQ so then i wouldn't barrel.

board texture and ranges are only part of the decision process though. i don't know the psychological aspects well enough to tell u about them, but i want a squeaky clean image when im bluffing the river.

river seems like a pretty horrible spot to bluff vs a fish like this

c/f river probably. We may still showdown best hand. Would need more postflop stat/reads to triple I think.

no he doesn't. we just can't trust him to fold tp often enough vs the amount of times he has 2p+ and never folds. your chronic tendency to hyperbolize is tiring.

i agree that firing a 3rd barrel here won't work, and a lot of time FISH see shoves as weaker than some sort of 2/3 or 3/4 pot value bet...

these guys just DONT fold top pair, period. which is great for when I hit my river, in fact this also means that if the river comes an A i have to value bet it, i would think around half pot would easily get called.

i did also realize that they will check this back on the river many times and if he was on a draw I will win as well which is great.
