Default 1/2 KJs in 3way pot OOP sorta cool river

Okay, the reason i called here is because SB if a fish 57/33

I guess you could make a great argument for 3betting here and perhaps in hindsight that would have been a better option because I don't really need the reg in this pot!

Say we go as played, this is a good spot for the reg to bluff a wide range because of the flop texture. So i check/call. I think if he bets the turn I let it go, its hard for me to do much on the river if he barrels again.

It checks through, and the river is nice. Id think if he had something like AK/KQ/AA type hands he'd fire that turn, but on the river I'm beating a ton of hands, but i figured those would often check back so I lead out for just under half pot. I was saying to myself this is fine but you gotta fold to a raise. Then of course a stupid voice said oh but look man you're only calling $41 to win a $160 pot... bah!

Fine as played minus the river call, or do you think 3bet pre is much much better? thanks

    BB Hero ($218.60)

    Pre-flop: ($3, 5 players) Hero is BB
    2 folds, RebVodka raises to $7, lorito54 calls $6, Hero calls $5

    Flop: ($21, 3 players)
lorito54 checks, Hero checks, RebVodka bets $14, lorito54 folds, Hero calls $14

    Turn: ($49, 2 players)
    Hero checks, RebVodka checks

    River: ($49, 2 players)
Hero bets $19, RebVodka raises to $60

I like flatting pre to keep the fish in. It's definitely a good strategy. Your river bet HAS to be bigger though, you are just inviting this raise here from anyone who knows what they are doing. I'd bet this river like 32. I understand why you thought this size would be better to gain more value from the weaker parts of his range, but against anyone who knows what they are doing, it's fairly easy to put you on a hand going for somewhat thin-ish value that can't stand the heat of a raise. Therefore, making this bet w/ like QT or whatever would be sweet.

I like the idea but we can't shove after betting 19 on the river, it's just not congruent.

ok, so you think flatting pre is better than 3betting pre here?

i see your point about getting bluff raised on the river, that probably crossed my mind as well as a small possibility which made me call it somehow.

    opp did not have Q10.

JJ obv, don't get your small river lead really, it puts you in a gay spot with a hand as strong as two pair.

my thought was if i make this small bet i can get some hands to call that would check back this river, but I guess realistically if the opp is decent they will fold all those hands no matter how much i bet here so I might as well bet like 2/3 pot and get called by some hands that call any sized bet.

by the way, isn't it completely obvious that opp had 48 of diamonds here? it sure surprised the hell outta me!
