I just meant to c/r flop, and was confused by OP's turn check (I thought he might've wanted to crai?) Check raise flop because villain is c-betting this board almost every time, whereas he'll likely fold air to the flop lead. Also villain probably stacks off with a lot of K's and you want to get money in against those types of hands.
