100nl c/r bluff+riv shove

opp was 23/13 over small sample. floated me some already and raise my c/b too, he wn both pots. generally a pain since he joined within the last few orbits and has position on me.

Tighten up with a floater with immediate position. A lot of the profit in your hand is winning the blinds or at least folding out the button.

Turn is meh. I think $40 gets him off of most of his hands. The river shove also looks like a case of betting too much to win too little.

Check/calling the turn and betting the river might also work as it's a line that SCREAMS Ax. This is just such a bad board for this because so many hands have a piece.

Overall, I think you're just pissed off that you're running a little cold and someone is playing well against your cheap street offense. It happens.

I like this more when the flush hits. Fnord's line of c/c turn, bet river is a good line

tbh im wasnt tilting at all. also just to add its not an overbet on river since opp only had about $70 on river.

I open J9o with such a player behind me since blinds are ez to play against. i agree in tightening up here and J9o is prob among the worst i raise, i think he has enough TP value to play vs opp behind me.

On flop i know he doesnt like to give up there so he is calling me IP alot. since he does call flop alot then im not at a huge risk to him giving himself a free card. i expect him to bet Qx,Ax,Air,GS and he is probably bad enough to bet his FDs and I think he would bet them alot here.

So i went for a c/r. he calls but its not the end of the world since he should show all his 2p+ hands.

On river i figure he has a hand like Ax(non greater than AJ-A5 & A3), Pair+missed draw, Pair + missed GS and Fds. I reckon he can fold a % of his Ax hands.

Can villain hand read?

I don't think you'd ever take this line with AQ, AAA, AK, QQQ or anything strong really. The turn brings two different flush draws, and the insider is still there so I don't think you'd ever check a strong hand here risking it checking through.

If he can hand read, he should snap call with anything that has value on river, as all draws missed. By same token, this play might also work sometimes since all draws missed for him as well.

If he has any hand though, he shouldn't be folding here.

what kind of hands checks OOP on the turn after leading out on the flop?

id say that opp cannot hand read imo. id say he plays his own holding with minimal thoughts on mine. I can turn up with a hand when i c/r here BUT I prob balance more towards bluffs here. This board is more co-ordinate then when i usually do it but i felt opp was the type to float alot anyway so i do beleive opp well bet turns WITH draws bcoz he wants to takedown the pot.

So imo im finding alot of poor players are betting their draws/air/weak hands on turn in these spots. basically they arent availing of free cards as much as good players would.
