Default 100NL trips I misplayed the hand somewhere along the line

    opener is a nit
    caller is a calling station

I flatted flop to keep the fish in, I didn't raise the turn because it looks like trips but then the river comes off ghey and I just call again
overall I feel like I played the hand badly, where did I go wrong, on the flop or on the turn?

    Full Tilt No-Limit Hold'em, $1.00 BB (6 handed) - Full-Tilt Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com

    Hero (Button) ($242.60)
    SB ($38.40)
    BB ($100)
    UTG ($133.30)
    MP ($61.30)
    CO ($80.75)

Preflop: Hero is Button with A, 9
UTG bets $3.50, 2 folds, Hero calls $3.50, SB calls $3, 1 fold

    Flop: ($11.50) 9, J, 9 (3 players)
SB checks, UTG bets $9, Hero calls $9, SB calls $9

    Turn: ($38.50) 8 (3 players)
SB checks, UTG bets $26, Hero calls $26, 1 fold

    River: ($90.50) 10 (2 players)
UTG bets $44, Hero calls $44

    it's tempting

    Fold preflop
folding MY button? it's less likely than you think

I missed you guys are 130bb deep, so preflop is a little better I guess.
Did you have any ideas about villains cbet or other postflop habbits? I don't think pre is profitable for me, maybe it is for you.

I'm still torn between raising turn or not...and I don't get villains betsizing on the river. Basically I'm lost on this hand lol.

Preflop is a fold unless you have tons of postflop reads on this guy or something. Flop and turn seem fine, but on the river you have the best hand close to 0% of the time, so you should probably fold. Do you not find it at all alarming that a "nitty" player is betting this turn after getting called twice on a completely dry flop, then betting a 4-straight river after getting called again?

Not sure I fold A9 suited OTB but then again im a fish

I'd muck the A9s vs a nitty player opening UTG. I definitely wouldn't consider folding versus the same nitty player if he's opening the CO though--particularly 130 deep.

So a nitty player is c-betting into you and a fish and you have trips top kicker? Probably raising is good since he likely has at worst AJ and flatting just gives the fish correct odds to draw at his open ender or whatever he has.

You probably saved money in the long run since UTG likely just has JJ here. Obv fold river? What other option did you think you had?

You say hes a nit? How nitty we talkin here? You think he has JJ or QQ?

A9s seems like an okay call to a UTG raise.

I think I just fold river pretty easily.
