    Default 2 3-bet pots, 0 Initiative.

I struggle in these spots, so resultantly I find myself 4-betting a ton and folding a ton to 3-bets and only really fltting with hands like 99-JJ AQ etc depending on situation obv. I want to become competent in 3-bet pots so looking for some feedback on these.

    1. Villain is 16/11 over like 15 hands so no real info. I hate these spots as I often feel like I'm just throwing away money. Is this alright?

    2. 1. Villain is 23/20 with a 3-bet of 12.8 over 70 hands. He's been very active. I've 4-bet him once to which he folded and I've folded to maybe 2 other 3-bets from him this session.

When he checks the flop my initial reaction was that he was either giving up for some reason (unlikely) or was taking a pot control line with a range like TT-KK and a few Axs (likely). I bet planning to fire three here sicne he'd been pretty aggro thus far so I couldn't imagine him checking better than AT here. This is prolly pretty damn spewy and checking back without any intentions of doing much on later streets is likely better. Thoughts?

I think a better line is checking back on the flop with the intention of either calling his turn bet and then firing the river i checked to or just betting turn betting river. I feel like this reps Ax a lot better than just stabbing at it when checked to on the flop if this is a thinking player.
    Family Cruise IMO

Yeah I see where you're coming from, but I doubt he's actually good and worry it'll be too easy for him to call a river bet because after turn goes bet-call "it looks wierd" or something since people don't thin value bet much at 50NL. At these stakes I think betting just turn and river gets looked up too often by TT-KK and weak aces. Checking back and folding to a turn bet is possibly better here I think before we know he's decent.

In Hand 1 i would probably mix it up between folding and calling. His 3 bet looks pretty big and without any reads its gonna be hard to play this post flop even with position. Smaller three bets in my opinion are betting for calling with 10's-7's. You also have to make moves on favorable flops which can get expensive so u have to be ready to do that to make calling profitable. This board is just awful for you. It is hard to rep any aces. I would fold flop. When calling the flop i would bet turn and river if checked to to fold out KK and QQ.

Hand 2. I agree that you should be checking back flop and try to pick up some equity before betting and to make my hand look more credible. If you had flat his 3b with AQ or AJ (because u guys have history), i dont think u would bet the flop with those hands. Ak is not in your range either so ur not repping much. check back and try to make moves on turns and rivers.

Hand 2 - most players cbet too much if anything. So most people are definitely betting all of their air on this board. I'm more afraid of a check here than a bet really. Check your hand all day, and fold to his turn lead.

Here you basically decide to either give up or 3 barrel, i usually give up. By that i mean dont bet the flop.
