Default 2/4 - speaking of hero calls...

These hands are all from last night.

    Hand 1
-villain in this hand is fast eddie, thinking reg who 3bets me like madness cause he thinks i fold too much
-calls practically all of my 3bets when we have a button/blinds dynamic and also 4bets me a lot
-in general he thinks I fold a lot, but I think that opinion is mostly for my preflop game
-flop c/c is a rare play, but something to balance my c/f range

    $2/$4 No Limit Holdem
    6 players
    Converted at weaktight.com

    Stacks:
    UTG ($442.00)
    Hero (UTG+1) ($425.00)
    CO ($524.20)
    BTN ($597.50)
    SB ($402.00)
    BB ($400.00)

    Pre-flop: ($6, 6 players) Hero is UTG+1
1 fold, Hero raises to $14, 1 fold, BTN calls $14, 2 folds

    Flop: ($34, 2 players)
Hero checks, BTN bets $28, Hero calls $28

    Turn: ($90, 2 players)
Hero checks, BTN bets $82, Hero calls $82

    River: ($254, 2 players)
Hero checks, BTN bets $473.50, Hero to call $301??

    Hand 2
-villain in this hand is quasi short stacking donkish player who calls all 3bets IP or OOP
-not enough hands on him for any reads on aggression etc

    Flop: ($78, 2 players)
    CO checks, Hero checks

    Turn: ($78, 2 players)
CO bets $52, Hero calls $52

    River: ($182, 2 players)
CO bets $193.40, Hero to call 193?

    Hand 3
-villain in this hand I had never seen before, but he was playing quasi solidly post (mostly calling down flops and turns) but very loose pre (35/24 or something).
-he hasn't 3bet pre once, and I'm pretty sure has called like 80% of my opens to this point
-my plan on this board was to barrel him, as he's shown that he's calling down somewhat light and I felt like his turn calling range would have a lot of pair+insider etc that wouldn't call a river bet
-river I think my hand has value vs his showdown range, I check and he SNAPPP jams, like the fastest snap ever

1 fold, Hero raises to $14, CO calls $14, 1 fold, SB calls $12, 1 fold

    Flop: ($46, 3 players)
SB checks, Hero bets $28, CO calls $28, SB folds

    Turn: ($102, 2 players)
Hero bets $65, CO calls $65

Hero checks, CO bets $488, Hero calls to call $309

hand 1: this is what happens when you go into c/c mode and play guessing games
you basically created a situation for yourself where you have no profitable line to take after you c/c the flop so I would fold turn

it's "lol scarecard" but also you have such a defined range he has multiple options of how to exploit you
you're behind his entire distribution and can't call two streets (turn and river) because basically he's going to either bet both or check back turn

hand 2: I fold because donkish players will bet 55 here because they put you SQUARELY on AK or something or because they have no idea what to do if they check and you shove

hand 3: given the timing I just think it's a nut hand
I'm not gonna put straights in his range, but I think these are possible:
AQ (unlikely, he might vbet small instead), QJ (makes the most sense), JJ, 55, 88, QQ-AA
like there's no reason to think he's full of shit, is there?

Just because you take a line that will be filled with the most difficult decisions, doesn't mean its not going to be profitable if you make the right ones. It's also important to note that with the particular hand I c/c'd the flop with, I'm pretty comfortable c/c again on any J,T,9,8,7,6 or club. That's about 25 turn cards I can comfortably continue on, which is about half the deck, and around 20 if we don't like hearts. I just happened to get the most level-inducing turn card.

I don't think he should bluff that turn unless he has 8h6h or Th8h
you could easily have like A9s/A7s/A2s here if you can have T9s

but here's a question: are you ever going to c/c a flop with AK?

i dont like the flop and turn play on most of these hands

    Which one's in particular?

Obviously hand 1 is not standard. Would you c/f turn as played?

Hand 2 I think is the most standard in terms of flop/turn, vs a donk that prob won't fold a pair on the flop anyhow.

Hand 3 is meh double barrel spot.

well some donks are fit or fold on the flop and some donks call with any piece

I like hand 2 if he's going to spew off to you because it gets value from his air the best way because he doesn't realize you're doing it

but if I had to guess more donks bet their medium strength hands for no reason, rather than check 55 and bluff J9, they'll bet 55 and check J9 because 55 is stronger

I'd fold all 3. Hand 1, 2, and 3 its just so obvious that the fd missed in my experience regs arent on the level of "well the fd missed but ill shove because i bet he will fold anyways because who shoves a missed fd in such an obvious spot!"

Hand 3 is certainly the toughest though since he can't rep much. Hand 1 and 2 his range has many nut hands at 100% frequency.

Hand 1 on a not so obvious fd miss id call.
    Check out the new blog!!!

    I'd fold hand 1

    call hand 2

Hand 3 I'm really not sure, only really worried about 910, jq in my eyes, also hate your turn bet in this hand.
"This sure beats Super Mario Bros.!" is my ejaculation catch phrase.

I'm not sure what everyone does on the flop in hand one other than c/c?

Regarding CB in hand 1, I check flop if he folds to CB>50%, I bet if he folds less than 50%.
Currently thinking of a new quote/signature... Some sort of prayer to the Poker gods for enlightment etc..

Oh shit I mis-read. thought people wanted to c/r or c/f or something.

I might call 1 just because when you check this flop it really looks like you're checking to fold so he literally fires 100% of his air on the flop. He also fires 100% on the turn so he get's to the river with a huge air range and your hand looks weak.

I fold the turn in 2 because donkish players can bet really unpolarised here like 3x and shit.

Hand 3 idk I'd probably call and lose to QJ.
