Default 2/4: tptk 3bet pot facing turn c/r

Villain is 19/15/3.5 good tag reg with 7.5% 3bet. Plays up to 25/50. Didn't expect to get checkraised on this dry board. Turn bet ok? Easy fold?

    MP ($435.10)
    CO ($489)
    Hero (Button) ($400)
    SB ($689.90)
    BB ($450.40)
    UTG ($232.60)

Preflop: Hero is Button with A, J
3 folds, Hero bets $8, SB raises to $28, 1 fold, Hero calls $20

    Flop: ($60) 5, 4, J (2 players)
SB bets $36, Hero calls $36

    Turn: ($132) 6 (2 players)
SB checks, Hero bets $56, SB raises to $176, Hero?

Yeah, I think it's an easy fold. He has some spade draws in his range you're ahead of, but this is mostly overpairs imo.

Why would a good player bet so little on the flop and then check turn with an overpair?

flop cbet size seems pretty standard given board texture and he can get it in over 3 streets.

can you elaborate on your turn sizing? I feel like if we make a bet near 1/3 pot we should know exactly what we're doing when we get c/r'd, barring any sort of timing/sizing tells etc..

Your opponent has you on a pair of jacks; it's obvious. He checks to make you think you're in the lead on a dry turn card after a c-bet by him on the flop got called. If he wasn't ahead on the flop, like he 3-bet you with 6s pre-flop, he sure is now. He either has an overpair, or caught lucky on the turn. Either way, fold.
