How about checking behind the turn? Seems like you are way behind/way ahead against a 22/20 here. As played I fold river. If you call on a dry turn like that I don't think many people will fire air on the river when a total blank comes. Maybe I'm just getting leveled though.

I think I call the turn and call the river. He can't have hit the Q because he would c/r the flop with all his overs+FD hands and he wouldn't just float overs OOP. A trey or 88 is unlikely. I just don't see what he's repping.

FWIW if I call the turn it's with the intention of calling a shove on every river.

if i call turn im definetely calling river. I feel like this is a spot where he cant have anything but he always does since it makes no sense. I call turn and river though. lol at checking behind turn.

My biggest concern is that he flatted a big pair since 3-bets aren't getting called nor 4-bet light. AA/KK/88/33 are about the only hands that make sense.

i also dont see why playing pot control is bad here.

No way I am checking behind here. Easy value bet. I probably fold the turn because they always seem to have it. The river he never expects you to fold so I'd fold. To be honest, I'm not sure what I do in the moment because feel has a lot to do with these situations against these players.

You can get 3 streets of value from A8 here.

Also, it merges your your barreling range.

You have to bet turn here against reg to merge your range and for value. Without postflop history, I probably fold. You have to realize some villains are aggro preflop, but more cautious postflop. But it comes down to a feel.

Also, we have basically the nuts here vs someone who is almost always 3-betting a bigger pp pre.

Renton said it but i dont like checking when we are ahead 95% of the time and people look threebarrels up super light here.

Also, considering this is such a good spot to bluff we need to extend our value bet range.
