Default 2/5 deep - warning - potential straight flush folded inside

-villain in this hand is nothing too special, just a standard taggish type player who I've played with a few times before but he's not a regular
-we haven't had that many hands together, but he runs 23/18/3.08
-river is a mandatory c/r obviously, but I'm not sure on how nitty I'm being pondering a river fold here

    $2/$5 No Limit Holdem
    5 players
    Converted at weaktight.com

    Stacks:
    UTG ($551.00)
    CO ($967.85)
    BTN ($500.00)
    Hero (SB) ($1089.60)
    BB ($781.91)

    Pre-flop: ($7, 5 players) Hero is SB
1 fold, CO raises to $15, 1 fold, Hero calls $13, 1 fold

    Flop: ($35, 2 players)
    Hero checks, CO checks

    Turn: ($35, 2 players)
Hero checks, CO bets $25, Hero calls $25

    River: ($85, 2 players)
Hero checks, CO bets $70, Hero raises to $225, CO raises to $927.85, Hero to call $700...

    Nit.

lol ok but lets be serious for a second

-QQ,JJ,TT all bet the flop. So he rarely has these hands by the river, so he rarely has a boat on the river except for 9T or J9. Both of which might also bet flop sometimes
-He's rarely shoving Ah here, not just because there are two obvious straight flushes out but also because the board is paired

So.. he rarely has a boat... and he rarely shoves Ah... maybe I'm just losing it?...

The more I look at this the more I think it might be a fold I don't think Ah's are shoving this river for value and I doubt many flopped sets are checking back this flop, leaving T9/J9/Q9/99 that might be shoving this river for value.

edit: you beat me to it, and I feel you

I don't play this high and it sure does look like Kh but I cant fold a straight flush. I mean the chances that he misread the board and doesn't realize 4 card sf draw is there and is shoving a boat or Ah is enough to make this a call for me and then curse the gods when he indeed has the King. Or he could think your spazzing with Ah and he has a boat IDK. That's how I justify my bad calls prob .

Don't you think he bets the Kh on the flop?

Edit: Unless he flopped the royal?

    No BBJ for you!!!

    serious reply:

why c/r the river, why no b/c line?

Yaah I think at the time I thought more hands would value bet and then call, than would raise a lead on the river.

I think Ah might sometimes b/c, but definitely not raise a lead often I don't think.

I think boats will b/c and also probably raise leads reasonably often.

So it's pretty close. If he's ever bluffing this river, then c/r is better obviously. If not, then its probably close.

for BBJ you have to use both hole cards

T9 and 99 seem to fit if he misread the board.

Why not just bet/call the river for value? Sucks to put in so much money on the river deep without the nuts.

    I'd fold.
Be super cool if he bluffed it.

Well I still think c/r river is better than leading the river, just because there are sooo few hands that I can imagine leading this river, after the flop and turn played out this way.

I'll have to think about it more, as to which is better. I just think his b/c range is wider than his river raising range, with worse hands than mine.

And let's get real, I didn't fold this river! LDO But I tanked, and if I had timebank on my site, I think I would have thought about it more and folded. But alas... time crunch.. must call with straight flush. KsKh ftw.... obviously.
