Default 2 set lines OOP from today ($100nl)

    hand 1:

MP is 75/33/7 over only 30 hands. W/ shorty in the pot and MP being such a donk i thought just shoving would be the most +EV here.

Ultimate Bet No-Limit Hold'em, $1 BB (5 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)

    MP ($98.25)
    Button ($51.60)
    SB ($48)
    Hero ($160.05)
    UTG ($40.50)

Preflop: Hero is BB with 6, 6.
1 fold, MP raises to $3, 1 fold, SB calls $2.50, Hero calls $2.

    Flop: ($9) K, J, 6 (3 players)
SB checks, Hero bets $6.5, MP raises to $15, SB calls $15, Hero goes all-in for $157.05

    hand 2:

villain in hand 2 is 20/15.5/2.2 over 250 hands and is one of the decent $100nl players on UB.

I think checking the river gives my hand away here. either i have a boat or at the minimum a set of 10's and any thinking opp isnt calling w/ an A here. I left myself around $50 to bet into a $130 pot so villain would have to call w/ any A and i should have just followed through. I think any donk/bluffy player is shoving to my check here but a thinking opp would be more likely to believe i had a 10/boat.

    Hero ($118.15)
    BB ($100)
    UTG ($68.65)
    MP ($96.65)
    Button ($159.20)

Preflop: Hero is SB with 2, 2.
UTG calls $1, 1 fold, Button raises to $4.5, Hero calls $4, 1 fold, UTG folds.

    Flop: ($11) A, T, 2 (2 players)
Hero checks, Button bets $8, Hero raises to $25, Button calls $17.

    Turn: ($61) 9 (2 players)
Hero bets $35, Button calls $35.

    River: ($131) T (2 players)
    Hero checks

Hand 1 I like. I play sets out of position pretty much the same way.

Hand 2 I do not like. Let's say I'm the opp and raise with likely holdings of AK,AK,AJ and then my raise is called in the SB. The SB is c/raising the flop, leading the turn and checking the river on a paired board. As long as you haven't been out of line I would not bet this river unless I hold AA, TT or 99.

In hand 2 what holdings do you expect him to have that could possibly bet this river card? Are we putting him on KhQh? I would put a small value bet in and expect AK/AQ to call. Secondly, I bet a little more on the turn, something like $42-45.

i was thinking villain had AK/AQ or any T with a paint kicker, maybe T9. KhQh is possible i guess, but he isnt the type to cold call a flop reraise without a made hand. I was leaning more towards AK, but a T isnt out of his button range at all. Like i said, my intention was to act scared of the second 10, but against a thinking villain this is bad and pretty transparent.

As far as the turn bet goes: Theres $61 in the pot and i have $87ish behind. Stacks are akward and i dont want to push him off the bottom part of his range by overbetting the turn. After the flop reraise villain knows we are most likely getting it in here. I think a 1/2 pot + bet sets up a 2/5 pot river push well in this case. Now if i would have just followed through i might have that extra $50 in my stack.

If you think he has AK/AK and he won't call anymore that $35 then it's fine. However, betting $45 and getting a call makes just putting the rest in on the river so much easier.

turn bet size is a moot point IMO. Betting $50 into $130 and betting $40 into $150 are virtually identical given how the hand was played.

these r both fine except its inexplicable why u dont shove river in hand 2 as he is calling with any ace...

If you put villian on any of these I really don't see how you can't shove the river.

I think hand 2 could be a spot where a check looks stronger than a small bet however having so little behind that really doesn't matter.
