2 spots same villain-facing c/r on flop

Villain is a 26/16/3.0. 5.8%3b (10%SB, 6%BB). Check raise flop 8%. 779 Hands. He probably views me as a decent aggro reg. This spot came up four hands into the session.

Same villain this spot came up like an hour after the last one. During this time we haven't tangled much and he has been folding to a lot of my steals from the button. I think he 3 bet once but nothing major.

Hand 1 - I'd call down very often without any good reads. He can definitely be raising some pair hands here for value/protection. He might also c/c a good portion of his sets on such a dry flop.

Hand 2 - This VERY strongly depends on what happened in the previous hand I think. So hard to say. If you caught him bluffing, I'd be more likely to fold here or call and play it more slowly, since ppl don't run big bluffs two times in a row often.

+ in hand 1 I would call turn and maybe fold to river bet, because your perceived range seems strong and I don't think he will run 3 barrel bluff (or value betting with worse) against your range here

Thanks guys. In Hand 1 i folded on the turn. He would have less then a half pot sized bet on the river and I didn't think he was gonna check. His turn bet was the determining factor because i expect him to 3b JJ+ in this spot and wasn't sure whether he would bet this much and commit himself with 99-1010 or a random eight. It was also the 4th hand of the session so there was no reason for him to think i was light. I definitely like ur logic though Griffey about him playing a set slower on this board. It is more likely that he would but i didn't have a good handle on his flop check raising range and decided to make a tight fold.

How do we handle the next one, given that we folded the first time?

We still have no read that he is c/r flop as bluff and if you call in hand 1 and fold on the turn he can thinks, that you are calling c/raises on the flop light - so he will not bluff you. And if he is not bluffing, he can has something like this:
