200 NL 6-max Bluffing top pair top kicker = bad idea

This guy thought I had the flush draw despite my smooth call with position. I now know not to make moves on people that continuation bet, because generally if they do so, they dont want to part with their hand!

This hand also illustrates why reraising pre-flop with position is almost ALWAYS a bad idea.

Hmmm..... by NOT reraising then you are putting yourself in tougher decisions postflop.

However, THIS flop was GREAT for QQ.

I would have played this the same POSTFLOP. As for preflop, It would depend on my opponent.

If he's not very "good" [haha] then I just go ahead and call his preflop raise.

**As a side note. If I had a hand like AKs, AQs... then I WILL go ahead and reraise this.

I am a bit confused but I guess you are talking about PF call. In general, I dont really like min-raising but they tend to work fine against certain types of fishies. I would just like to hear your reasoning for flop min-raise, juice up the pot? give FE? repserent xxx?

There are numerous scare cards on turn if (and apparently when) villains PFR hand range is wide. Any heart, 8, 7, 3, might be a killer to you.. With this much left I would raise to $50 to create some FE (but also bloating the pot) or just call, keep the pot moderate and try to jam the turn if we think we are ahead.

i agree, theres a good spot for minraising, but this is not one of them

I don't get it, you didn't reraise. Your opp only raised.

He's saying that if he did reraise, then he wouldn't have got nearly as much action.

If you only reraise with AA-QQ preflop, then yes.

there are times where you might make more by smooth calling preflop, but reraising with these hands is almost NEVER a bad idea.
