Default 25nl TPGK facing resistance on drawy board

Trying to make sure my fundamentals are sound in light of some nasty (hopefully) variance...

vill: 20/18/2 over 50 seemed pretty solid

    PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.25 BB (6 handed) - Poker-Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com

    BB ($24.65)
    UTG ($40.75)
    MP ($24.25)
    CO ($31.65)
    Hero (Button) ($29.75)
    SB ($48.40)

Preflop: Hero is Button with Q A
1 fold, MP calls $0.25, 1 fold, Hero raises to $1.25, SB calls $1.15, 2 folds

    Flop: ($3) 5 Q 6 (2 players)
SB checks, Hero bets $2, SB raises to $7, Hero raises to $15

I figured he was solid so I was certain his range would have included fds oesd and sometimes air. I figured a 3bet would be better than b/c and get owned on the turn.

    protection
value when there is chance that i'm ahead
preventing getting bluffed off my hand with the entire set of turn scare cards

I guess the biggest problem i saw was the bet sizing.

Man, I'm a nit, I'd fold the flop if he had been solid.

yea that's the problem. I'm guessing shove>raise? but where does call come into the inequality?

Here's my 2c and my 1st post on this forum:

I would never reraise flop here. If the board was rainbow, I'd fold 100% of the time, cause draws won't be part of his c/r range.

In this spot I would maybe call his reraise hoping to see a non-spade card on the turn. If he checks missed turn, I'd bomb here. If he bets the turn again, I'd fold easily (and if A or Q comes, it's a really nasty spot imo).

PF he's 20/18 which pretty much means he's calling/limping small PP's PF. Would be nice to know if he generally defends blinds or folds to steals, that would definitely change my flop decision. But without a read, I'd do the above.
