    Default 3-bet pot against annette_15

Thought this might generate some interesting discussion. We've been playing a while, she 3bets like 18%, somewhat polarized although i did see her 3-bet AT when we were shallower. She double barrels a good amount, seems basically capable of anything (but she isn't an aggrotard, she just is capable). I dont think ive even gotten in a hand where she double barrel and i called two streets in a 3-bet pot.

What she's seen of me: She's seen me raise Q3 on a QTT flop when we were shallower in a 3-bet pot and get it in. I sometimes 4bet bluff but dont 4bet often. She's seen many hands where ive taken passive lines with monsters on early streets.

fwiw on the flop, from the feel i got from her betsizing, the bet seemed weak. On the river it was pretty much an instashove.

makes me want to fold cause I don't expect her to think any deeper than that.

On this board she can have a lot of value hands that she'd be willing to do this with, possibly any Kx or Ax that the best play for her is to shove the river instead of c/f. From what I can tell her range is stronger than your own in this spot and there are probably better hands/situations to call her than an 8. Are we instacalling with KQo?

I also usually fold the turn here although I dont know how good that is since I know this is a good 2 barreling card for her. My very basic thought process is: she can value bet me thinly here so she's able to bluff me alot too.

man i would just fold turn, i know you didn't want to hear that

as for river only you really know if this is a call, its gonna look like a fold to any outsider, for all the standard reason: she can have a huge range of value, pot odds not great, no bluff combinations other than total air that decided to bet three streets, etc.

also I wonder about raising the flop for the simple purposes of narrowing your getting-hosed-on-the-turn-and-river range, and since you mentioned the history of raising weak top pairs in position.

flattin ur 4bets, makin u tilt
id fold turn and as played fold river- i think bad pot odds and really wide value range given how much she 3bets is good enough reasoning

alright alright maybe not so interesting (interesting that i actually wanted to call). Sometimes i think my opponent is thinking or deeply than he or she is, meelooche made a good point.

I actually did call and lost to QJcc.

hmm, that's why i thought the AJ was relevant, it shrinks her value range. But i think as meelooche pointed out it probably just encourages her not to bluff.
