Hand 1: I don't like turning ur hand into a bluff with ur very large turnraise. Even a shortstacked maniac as descbrided will have a tough time calling this raise with <TPGK. I would just checkcall turn and river and let him bluff of his money.

Hand 2: Its unlikely the ace would have helped him so i check behind on turn, trying to have a showdown. Since he didn't go all-in on river it seems like he was on a oesd on flop, maybe picking up av FD on turn? Alternatively he could have a stubborn king. Anyhow no point in betting river since i don't see how worse can call u here, and the pot is to big for him to fold anything significant.

Hand 3: If he's a really loose 3-bettor consider 4-betting/shoving. I think ur checkraise on flop is only going to get called by better hands.

hahaha i thought the same thing. i think some people ( including me) when moving up get excited with seeing double the money they are used to in the pot and find strange ways to try to get it. I know I suffer from this problem and when I take shots at a higher limit, its usually bad news for me. I need to learn how to slow down my thought process and think logically about the hand instead of trying to get all the money in the middle no matter what. Maybe you are doing the same thing I do.

You're probably right Thizz. Moving up is a really nice thing, it's exciting. But if you did well enough to move up from 50NL this fast, you were probably doing something right. Just play how you always play, and you'll be fine.

    Think about these hands:

    1) you're overplaying your hand. Even though the villain is a donk, just keep to pot sized raises or under. In a limped pot like this, although the villain is so loose, he did raise into 3 other people. He probably is beating you, but i don't know how he's playing. Calling down may be a good line, but definitely not c/overshoving the turn.

    2) Just give up the flop. Why do you think he's bluffing, people at low stakes are almost never bluffing here.

    3) Again, you're overplaying your hand. Just call the flop and c/f the turn, river is read dependant.

i think another problem i was having was that very early on i got no action to speak with good preflop hands, so that kind of engraved in my head that i needed to be aggro to win.
