    Default 5/10 HU Bigmich

    READ PROLOGUE PLEASE

Bigmich is a generally bad HU player. He calls threebets a lot and is way too passive postflop. Raises a lot of air flops in single raised pots. Doesn't raise a cbet in a threebet pot very much. I don't normally take thorough notes but one note i wrote down is "insta bets are bluffs." River was an insta bet but again he's not very bluffy.

    First question.

    POKERSTARS GAME #16942046766: HOLD'EM NO LIMIT ($5/$10) - 2008/04/23 - 16:10:36 (ET)
Table 'Walbeck' 6-max Seat #1 is the button
    Seat 1: BigMich08 ($937 in chips)
Seat 2: heybude ($1132 in chips)
    BigMich08: posts small blind $5
    heybude: posts big blind $10
    *** HOLE CARDS ***
    Dealt to heybude [4h 4c]
    BigMich08: raises $20 to $30
    heybude: raises $80 to $110

Good versus him even though he calls a lot of threebets? (like 60% of the time)

    Second question:

    BigMich08: calls $80
    *** FLOP *** [3h 2h 2d]
    heybude: bets $170

    Yes/no?

    BigMich08: calls $170
    *** TURN *** [3h 2h 2d] [Qh]
    heybude: checks
    BigMich08: checks
    *** RIVER *** [3h 2h 2d Qh] [8s]
    heybude: checks
    BigMich08: bets $444

surely if you're going to bet this flop then you gotta have some bigger plan in action?

I mean he never folds a pair on the flop therefore to bet here we either have to believe he will float with a large enough unpaired range and allow us to play profitably against that part of his range.

I guess if he's calling 60% of 3bets then he is definitely floating this flop a high % of the time planning to bluff the turn when you check. So you need to either barrel the turn or c/c the turn or not bet the flop.

Actually wtf am I talking about, from the description he's not on the level to make a delayed bluff. So c/f the river. I'd definitely think about c/cing the turn though because he has to be planning to bluff that and his range is way polarized if he bets. But overall I feel betting the turn is the best line.

    lol rambles.

He does, not a lot though. Hence the note, "Instabets are bluffs," meaning ive seen him bluff multiple times.

I think raising preflop is just as good as calling vs this guy. Flop bet good, but river looks like fold to me.

I would say that if you are planning to call a river bet, then you are probably better off leading the turn instead.
