UTG raises to $30, fold, fold, fold, Hero calls $20

Hero checks, UTG bets $55, Hero raises to $142, UTG calls $87

Hero bets $225, UTG calls $225

thats ugly.. why didnt you reraised preflop? .... i would fold in a sec.... prob he open raise with AK, flop and turn he thought you hit the set , but now only hand beats him is K9 , but he wont put you on that. anyway he has the K for sure

    c/f river.

General comment is, why are we playing with the biggest winner on FTP on our immediate left?

I might check turn, and re-eval. If it checks through, for sure bet river. I think we only have one more street with this hand anyhow.

Worried about a TAG to your left? I'm unknown to him so I've got a pretty decent advantage in any leveling games. This spot is super gross though.

I think jamming is the correct river play after I bet the turn.

I'd say you should c/f turn. And I suppose bet river if he checks behind but after the king turn its all pretty meh.

    I'd absolutely fold as played.

    jamming river is really bad.

I'm also assuming this is against tim0, he's really not the type to ever hero you with 9x.

I agree with ISF that c/f turn seems standard. However I wanted to go for the FPS thin here and I'm not going to change plan just because he called like I wanted him to do. To me betting turn and then c/f river doesn't make the smallest amount of sense.

i dont love your flop cr, but whatever

check turn tho now that you got there, especially with your hand (and call). then c/f river.

Would you advocate c/c on turn with 44 or 99 for balance a decent chunk of the time or just bomb away?

While true I think that versus most villains you are only going to get one street of value from 1010-QQ obviously there are exceptions to that rule. So checking turn and betting river is the same as betting turn but it may balance your range more. As Sauce pointed out you still are going to stack a king if you C/C turn here.

Sure, but I think the probability of getting 2 streets from TT-QQ is quite low (most people don't think about relative hand strength as much as you do p4s) and if turn goes chk/chk we can still bet river, or perhaps even introduce a river overbetting range, provided you can get to the river with a bluff every now and then.

flattin ur 4bets, makin u tilt
w/ an unknown image i think flop c/r is better than c/c but usually c/c is best. Turn is a super obv check, probably to call a bet followed by c/f river imo. Betting 225 is certainly -ev. Betting any amount on the river after this action is -ev. Calling a raise is then also -ev.
