5-10 is a whole different game.....

I just moved up to the 5-10 limits (limit hold'em). This is one of the wildest games i have ever come into contact with. Between last night and this morning im down 600. I dont know if i should skip this limit and go to 15-30 or 30-60 where it might be a little tighter. Im going to post some of the hands that i participated in. Please comment.....

My question is even though i didnt show it on some of these hands, is tight/aggressive the best way to make money on these limits? I watched numerous players play very loose/aggressive and that seemed to pay off the most.

i don't understand any of that. some of the things that your opponents did in there seem to be just idiotic. i think at some point a bunch of these people got an ego and got to thinking they were good, but one of em capped the betting preflop with 67s.... wtf.

correction, i ment to say i can post this in the limit section if needed, but i figured i would be able to get a better response from people bouncing around the same limits. I did notice how loose/aggressive people are from the 5-10 all the way up to 15-30 (speaking limit hold'em). The 8-16 table i encountered yesturday was about the same.

I honestly think it gets to the point where you have to go to higher stakes to encounter more respect and better players who fold.

I still think that's referring to no limit... plus I dont think 5-10 LIMIT is considered high stakes at all. But I think this is a really stupid thing to get into an arguement about, so whatever, you're right :P

I was not trying to argue at all, was simply trying to get a better response for my post other then a microlimit noob. You are right 5-10 is not that high of a limit, but then agian how many players here play the 4k-8k in vegas, i belive it is al relative? I also believe according to micheal1123:
For a definition of what qualifies as "high stakes" here, we're using a rough guideline of:

NL ring - buyin equal or greater than $600 and $3 / $6 blinds.
SNG - $100 buyin or greater
Freezeout MTT - $100 buyin or greater
Rebuy / Addon MTT - $30 buyin or greater


anyways poker is the main point of this site so lets discuss that.
