Default 50nl flopped trips facing overbet c/r

    No reads.

    Bodog BB is $.50

    Hero (BTN) ($50)
    Villain (UTG +1) ($70)

    Preflop: dealt to Hero
1 fold Villain calls, 1 fold, Hero raises to $2.25, 2 folds, Villain calls $1.75

    Flop ($5.25)
Villain checks, Hero bets $2.50, Villain raises to $67.75 all in, Hero?

meeloche, how can you 'stove' something like this? sinister, what do you mean no reads. how long have you been at the table? has villain done anything remotely abnormal? its probably just a fold
My bankroll is the amount of money I would spend or lose before I got a job. It is calculated by adding my net worth to whatever I can borrow.

I was not at the table for more than a few orbits and villain had not played very many hands at that time. IIRC he limp/called a few times and folded the flop.

Metagame read is that when players in this game overbet shove they have a big hand, but they usually do it on the river not the flop. I figured he could have limp/called with a worse Ace, any pocket pair or sc (a typical pf line in this game). My problem is unless he is psychotic/tilted, which I did not see at all so far, why would he do this (with any hand weak or strong)? I mean no matter what he has his play is terrible.

My instinct was to fold, probably since he had played passively up to now and all of a sudden became very aggressive. But analyzing his range would lead me to calling. Tough decision imo.

Jman: every time the action is to you, it's an opportunity for you to make the perfect play.
