Villian is a TAG (26/13/1.6 over 115 hands) who I suspect has been floating me.

How's my line here given that?

I'm confused so you think he's FoS and he'll fold to a bet on the turn? I don't see any reason to check the turn, unless the river raise gets called a lot, against a TAG I think no. Normally there would be an overcard on the turn or river which would make it more believable that he has a hand.

As played I raise more on the river. $20 still gives him 2:1 odds to call with a 9 or an overpair.

Isn't floating OOP fairly rare, especially at 50NL?

I thought floating was, by definition, in position. I don't know what you call check/call flop check/raise river...

I think you are better off jamming the turn for like $10 and hope he likes his 9/pocket pair. If you think he would raise flop with anything that he would call turn, AND will bluff river when you check, then YLIG! Nice read, too...

    this isnt floating.

i bet turn. his most likely hand is a small pair or AJ type hand, so half pot probably get alot of calls. checking sometimes is good though.
