50nl KTs, standard spot played unstandardly.

This is the third hand against this villain so literally no reads other than he folded his first button. This is usually a 3b/call on the flop but against someone unknown who I have no idea how he plays I elected to just call.

Thoughts on what to do on the turn? His bet sizing makes jamming really ugly =(

jam, don't see the problem with an overbet jam.

Any reads on what a small bet from him means? IF I know its weak, I probably raise/jam.

Otherwise, I'm fine calling, he's giving us way better than direct odds to get there.

jamming turn is bad. the single better hand we fold out is Axs in spades/clubs given he decided to cr/bet it which is a bit atypical. all this accomplishes is to save us the admittedly annoying river decision where we have to decide whether or not he follows through with 76/87/smaller FDs etc enough to call given pot odds. making this decision isnt fun, but its a necessity.

reasons to 3bet/call the flop are if he has a wide flop CR range containing stuff like btm and mid pair, str8 draws, gutters, weak fds, even better if he stacks off with that entire range.

reasons to call flop in pos are if he is cr ing more polarized with a range containing stuff like QJ+, big combo/a hi FDs, pair+fds, 2pair/sets and then bluffs. he will often follow thru on his bluffs when we fill as a FD is the single most obvious hand in his range to cr flop. gaining a bet when hes drawing dead is huge. also, depending on timing we can either check back turn bet river when we fill or bet bet, most opponents will rarely fold their value range as our flop calling range is pretty wide and we are capable of turning str8draws/ small pairs into bluffs

Im happy to call the turn but my standard play here against this fairly weak turn bet is to pop it to $28 hopefully getting him to fold weak qs, other draws and the occasional 5x, 4x.

the problem with that is calling is EV+ for sure, but depending on his range here shoving might be less optimal

we might fold out small flush draws that were behind anyway, and now that there's only one card to come we're behind a flopped queen
if he folds a weak queen here then it might be the correct play
but if he folds all FDs and calls with all queens it's probably better to call and then stack his smaller FDs on the river with a spade
we can also stack his queens with a surprise buttsex 9
also, if he has an ace high flush draw we're of course getting stacked on the river, but we might stack him if he hits his ace and puts us on a queen

pot odds say the call is LDO easy, but our implied odds are even better
when money goes in on the river we're generally putting it in good

but if we jam and find out we're up against a really loose opponent that stacks off with Q2o here, we're actually behind
we would of course prefer to call his tiny bet instead
