Looks like AK on the flop...

I play it the same on every street.

I bet the flop with overpair, gutshot + he checked.
As played I fold turn, I doubt the ten helped him, but for all you know he was planning to check raise the flop & by just checking flop & calling turn with draws on the board your hand looks weak & sets up a good situation to bluff on the river
    anyway.
But then again I only play at .25 so I'm often wrong.

No one checks here with AK at this level. Most of the time this is a big pair trying to get "tricky." I would usually just take the free card and stack him if I hit my 2-outer, fold turn otherwise. Feels nitty, but I think you're more likely to have the best hand if he makes an ordinary c-bet, than you are when he plays like this.

    looks standard to me..

I ask because I played the hand pretty passively and after I folded he said "whew" indicating a missed AK.

I'm going to go on a rant here, but seriously, post a read or something along with your hands. Sorry that this has to be you that I'm responding to, but I see so many "what do you think of this hand" type posts with absolutely no reads on opponents. How can one give advice if we don't know who we're playing against?

When looking at poker hands you can't say "well you have this, and the board is this, he did this, so you must do this." Without a read, without knowing what type of player the guy is, without knowing anything else it's pretty impossible for anyone to say what you should have done. It'll always come down to "it depends."

Reads/thoughts on player/anything else would be nice here.

I tell the truth all the time when I'm at the poker table. Really.

FWIW, I bet the flop in this spot most of the time. But again, it would depend on the player and how he's played up to that point.

Yes reads would be nice but I didn't really have one. Villain was playing pretty standard from what I remember and wasn't getting out of line or anything. Something like 23/17 or something I would guess. Do you mean you would raise the turn? Because I have position and he bets into me on the turn.

No, I meant raise the flop.

I will edit my post to show this.
