Default Another one, fold or call?

    PokerRoom No-Limit Hold'em, $1 BB (5 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cx

    SB ($25.90)
    BB ($16.60)
    UTG ($39.05)
    MP ($34.80)
    Hero ($58.30)

Preflop: Hero is Button with 9, Q.
UTG calls $0.50, MP checks, Hero calls $0.50, SB completes, BB checks.

    Flop: ($3.50) 9, Q, 6 (5 players)
SB checks, BB bets $0.5, UTG calls $0.50, MP folds, Hero raises to $2.5, SB folds, BB calls $2, UTG calls $2.

    Turn: ($11) 3 (3 players)
BB checks, UTG checks, Hero bets $6, BB folds, UTG calls $6.

    River: ($23) K (2 players)
UTG bets $30.05 (All-In), Here thinks a bit trying to decide what to do.

He just joined the table, so I have no reads on him apart from the way he was playing the hand. I think I did the right thing here, trusted my read based on the way he was playing the hand, wondering what others think I should do here though.

TJ? or 2 diamonds? Maybe KdXd ....

I think you gotta call this with 2 pair. I would probably fold TPTK.

Well, I put him on TJ from the way he was playing here, but it might also have been two diamonds of course, like a KX of dianomds like you suggested, but would he go all in on me then? Maybe with KJ diamonds, but I think it's most likely I'm beat. He might also be slowplaying a set, or been calling me with say 9K, thinking his mid pair was good at flop/turn. But I still think he had TJ, and wanted me to make a bad call, so I folded based on this.

And I will be paying $30 to win a $50 pot, don't think I'm ahead enough times for this to be profitable, other opinions?

I dont like PF. Fold or raise.
    Flop good
    Turn raise more, coordinated board.
    river read dependant.

I hate when these guys first get on a table and pull a move like this. If I'm not certain I have them, I let them take it until I see more from them. Sometimes they do this and leave right away. It looks like a busted flush draw but he could have K9/KQ/K6 and play it the same way. AK too though. I feel like a genius when I'm right and a moron when I'm wrong here. Fuck it - it's a busted flush. He would have raised a made hand earlier to protect against the flush.

As mentioned, bump up the turn bet toput him to the test.

I don't like getting into kicker issues with Q9, but a suited Q9 in position, sure I should have raised there. And anyways, how come you guys don't put him on JT?
He gets 3,25:1 on the flop call and like 2,6:1 on the turn call with that, I know it's bad odds, but players here don't always think too much about that.

And I aggree it sucks when new players at the table do stuff like this, I was just sticking with my read by the way he played this hand alone, no way to find out if I was right or not

I think you've lost here, the way he's played each street. I'd fold regretfully.

I like how you played it, except for maybe raising a bit more on the flop and turn. I generally fold this river, draws have completed, and there are alot of two pairs that beat you.

You can't put him on TJ exactly because you can basically never put anyone on any single hand exactly. TJ is *certainly* within his range here. It may even be the most likely single hand.

But there are reasons to suspect it's not the nuts, too - why push the nuts on the river vs. aggressor?

Anyway - I agree that it's likley TJ. But not certainly. And you are only getting like 3:2 on the call. He has to have TJ/set/Kings up less than 60% of the time to make this a clear call.

A meta reason to call is that it's awfully weak to Raise->Bet->Fold to a pseudoscare card. A good player should pick up on that and push you off you next hand on a scary river. I'm not sure I can put a future $$ amount on the call vs. fold here.
