anyone else tried this heads up?

im at an empty table .10/.20 no limit it was i think.
new player joins
were heads up for about 10 min which is a lot of hands online
i play a few hands and see the other player is pretty passive so i turn the aggression way up and along with it show every single hand i win and almost everysingle hand i lose. i think that the other person will catch on but doesn't till i destack him 2 and a half times i lose a little here and there but pretty much kille dthe other guy till a third person joined and played better so i had to stop playing what i thought was a little stupid but worked .

anyone else try this or similar?
thoughts?

Heads up is a different beast all together. What works against one guy will not work against the next. You found something that worked nicely against this guy and exploited him. Well done. Just don't think the same will work the next time.

hu is about getting your opponent to make one bad call.

Or a succession of bad calls and grind him down.

miffed is right. or one bad bluff may i add.

Try to avoid playing headsup on cash tables, the variance is a bit too ugly.

Agreed about variance. Heads up cash variancee is tremendous. There is no way to even know if you were playing well against the guy you stacked.

When the very low Limit full ring tables get very short handed, naked aggression is often the way to go. Fold the occasional hand to him so he doesnt catch on but raise almost any 2 cards.
Obviously this will only work against certain players but when it does it is very easy.

not really. naked aggression will get you trapped more often than not against a decent player.

Really? I think it is pretty easy to notice a guy who is constantly folding to me suddenly call or raise... but that is just me. Just gotta realize that you have a gas AND brake peddle that you can use.

HU is a different beast. I think alot of strategies can work because it is highly player depended. I think the best option is to have a default strategy until you know what your opponents default strategy, then modify and see how/if he adjusts.

OP, why are you showing? If you are playing aggressive keep him guessing.

The rake is disgusting when you play HU at a cash table and you're fairly evenly matched. Me and a mate got through 1/3 of our combined stacks in rake alone in one fairly short session.
