Default Back to the draw-ing Board

Different hands, same old crap. I've cut down the number of tables to limit the number of mistakes and I'm making even more!

Hand 1: CO, in no better terms, is a complete idiot. In fact, everyone on this table is flat out horrible. Two 70/15's to my right and a mr. float tag on my left, I can't have better table position.

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $1.00 BB (5 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)

    UTG ($115.25)
    MP ($100.10)
    Hero ($97)
    SB ($117.25)
    BB ($217.45)

Preflop: Hero is Button with J, Q.
UTG calls $1, MP raises to $4, Hero calls $4, SB calls $3.50, BB calls $3, UTG calls $3.

    Flop: ($20) T, 7, 9 (5 players)
SB checks, BB checks, UTG checks, MP checks, Hero bets $13, SB folds, BB folds, UTG folds, MP raises to $35, Hero raises to $93, MP calls $58.

    Turn: ($206) J (2 players)

    River: ($206) 5 (2 players)

    Final Pot: $206

    Results in white below:
MP has Qc Kd (straight, king high).
Hero has Jd Qd (one pair, jacks).
    Outcome: MP wins $206.

I included the results for this reason: To hopefully make myself feel better that this was not that bad of a play. I NORMALLY don't push. In fact, in the last 6 weeks I've pushed two draws, this one and the next hand; the reason I feel like I pushed them is because I felt I had no better option given the read. I cant take seriously a check/raise from the CO, unless he has the absolute nuts with J8 (highly, highly, highly unlikely), because giving 5 opponents a potential free card is suicide to any hand. I have really no idea.

Hand 2: The second draw I've pushed lately is this hand. Villain is a lag and seems to be raising preflop. No one is pushing back and he gleefully picks up chips. Stats are 33/25.

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $1.00 BB (6 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)

    Hero ($98.50)
    SB ($108.40)
    BB ($99)
    UTG ($13.80)
    MP ($188.60)
    CO ($120.55)

Preflop: Hero is Button with 2, A.
1 fold, MP raises to $3, 1 fold, Hero raises to $9, 2 folds, MP raises to $18, Hero calls $9.

    Flop: ($37.50) T, 7, Q (2 players)
MP bets $23, Hero raises to $80.5, MP calls $57.50.

    Turn: ($198.50) 8 (2 players)

    River: ($198.50) 7 (2 players)

    Final Pot: $198.50

    Results in white below:
MP has Ts Tc (full house, tens full of sevens).
Hero has 2h Ah (one pair, sevens).
    Outcome: MP wins $198.50.

First, I'm surprised to see he 4bet with TT. Second, I do think a push has zero fold equity if villain has AA or KK. JJ-QQ MAY fold and AK obv will. I don't mind the Preflop LRR but is the call the minraise back okay?

i think on hand 1 checking behind on the flop is good because you are almost sure to get a caller.

hand 2, don't call his 4 bet preflop with that hand. Otherwise you did fine.

Hand 1: You need to consider checking behind here. Table is playing loose and you have a draw to the nuts with a backdoor flush draw. Betting has a little fold equity and might get you a free river card, but it might get you pushed off your hand.

Once you're c/red you need to do some math and figure how often he's following up for all of the money.

Hand 2: *shrug*, I usually just fight these guys on the flop as he seems too loose to fold anything pre-flop. Second time around, it's probably a fold and once you see a flop I don't see any other way to play it.
