what are you're reads on twosevoff?

I would usually just bet the flop, and reraise a little less pre flop, like 16.
As played I guess just check/fold.

I also raise a little less PF, and c-bet the flop.

I don't mind the preflop cbet, but I'm betting the flop here the $23 then folding the turn ASAP if he calls my flop bet.

I actually think it's fine as played. Though I can understand why you'd want to bet this flop (as any hand worth anything would want to protect against a scare card). Your line would make sense with JJ. On the other hand if he raises, you can comfortably fold. If he calls, you have outs against his likely holdlings (low pp/JK/).

Any solid player here know you are bluffing. I can't think of any made hand that doesn't bet here. However he checked behind which would have me believe u have him beat anyway.
Twoseveoff in my poker tracker is a loose passive fish, if you knew that then I c/f. The bet on the turn is kinda stupid anyway as your beating all the hands that would fold.

Thinking players got enough rom here to out-think themselves.

I just remembered who you're talking about....I've got twosevoff as a calling station. He's more than willing to stack off with TPTK even facing a 4bet preflop, even AFTER correctly identifying my hand before calling.

My RR range, according to the replies in this thread, is much smaller than his range to call. Therefore, I don't think he's folding JJ+ if he has it.

I hate the flop check. I would bet $30. Your check screams missed AK or flopped monster. Based on your pf rr though it scream missed AK. I don't see QQ+ checking here.

Question for fnord and others, when is a check in this spot appropriate?

In higher stakes maybe when you want opp thinking you were too pussy to bet the flop with AK MAYBE. I really think you have to bet here everytime.

Doesn't look like a very good flop to continuation bet, so I think checking the flop is fine. I would probably just go into check-fold mode from that point on, though, since your flop check basically tells him what you have.

Yeah since twosevoff is a relatively loose player, I think you should c-bet this flop because his range is a lot wider than a midPP-JJ which isn't folding in this spot.

What is your name on stars and what happened in this hand? You folded? I forget what I had in this hand. Depending on my mood I'll sometimes call preflop reraises really really light so I pretty much could have anything here.

What's your sn on stars? Do you have the HH where I stacked off with a 4 bet preflop with just tptk? What'd I have AK?

Yeah I've been playing like a donk/call station a lot lately. I was doing pretty well for a while when I started playing 100NL again but now I'm just kinda stagnating. I went on some ridiculous tilt the other night, ending up playing some half-stacked 5-10NL 6max and dropping $3900 in all . Boy was I playing like a fish that night (Iwind can vouch for this he was at a couple of my tables). I'm talking open limping all types of garbage, raising trash, making desperation bluffs, all types of spew. And this was with only half a buy-in or less most of the time in front of me.

If I was playing with reads and using PT and a hud instead of ten-tabling without any software and playing basically without reads I'd probably be doing a lot better. If I didn't go on tilt so easily and degenerate into loose sloppy play I'd do even better. If I didn't call 3-bets so light so frequently I would do even better still.

Playing passive when I'm not the preflop aggressor in the pot is kinda my style though. Even when I was dominating on party a year ago I was playing fairly loose-passive. I like calling the flop with a lot of marginal hands to snap off c-bets and set up trapping with TPTK with AK and better on later hands.

I'm capable of playing decent poker though. I just tilt very easily and like to gamble too much. If anyone sees me on stars from now on say what's up and I'll buckle down and show you I can still play some cards if I want to.
