Default Bottom set on the flop

    Party Poker
    No Limit Holdem Ring game
    Blinds: $0.10/$0.25
    5 players
    Converter

    Stack sizes:
    UTG: $35.62
    Hero: $25
    Button: $9.85
    SB: $23.15
    BB: $35.83

    Pre-flop: (5 players) Hero is CO with 4 4
UTG raises to $0.75, Hero calls, Button calls, SB calls, BB folds.

    Flop: A J 4 ($3.25, 4 players)
SB bets $2, UTG calls, Hero raises to $9...

Thoughts on raise size? I'm trying to figure out how to determine the perfect raise size for these situations.

Your raise is just underpotsized, so it is fine. lots of cards on the turn will kill your hand so with a call I like the size of the raise.

I'd make it 7$ to fake some FE and push the turn. But this fine too. Make sure to push these flops once in a while.

learn how to calculate a potsized raise, then whenever you dont know how much to raise, make it potsized

Ive been potting just about every flop, c-bet or real hand, and yesterday I didnt get action on anything. Is this a bad idea? For instance, I had AA 12x last night in 2k hands, with 100% win, and less than a buyin in profit. Am I just betting too hard with potting flops?

<Staxalax> Honestly, #flopturnriver is the one thing that has improved my game the most.

tone it down, go from potting to 3/4 pot. find better tables.
