    Default Bubble play blunder?

50 players, buy in €150, top 5 qualify for the Swedish championships worth €1500, nr6 gets nothing.

    blinds 1500-3000, 8 players left

I am in 7th place with about 11600 chips. There are 3 players with about 15000-18000 and one with 6000 left. Table has been playing very tight and the only move has been all-in for many orbits now getting rarely called.

I have been blinding away quite a few orbits now and havent really caught a hand for a while.

UTG and UTG+1 fold to me. I have :Ad: and move all-in...

    Looks pretty standard to me.

The BB calls you with 55, you pick up a diamond draw on the flop, get a 3 on turn but river is no help for you and you bust out?

Just my wild guess how it turned out to my beloved neighbour

This is kind of a unique situation, not your typical "You have 4x BB and a suited A...you gotta push it!" The top 5 get seats, so it doesn't matter who places 1st-5th...That means the top 3 stacks are just going to be sitting on their stacks at this point until 3 more of you guys bust out. The 3 with 15k-18k, you, and the short stack, are basically the only ones playing any hands from now on. I think a valueable piece of info for deciding whether this is a good push would be to know A) The stack sizes of the already folded UTG and UTG+1 (are they medium-small stacks or in the top 3?) and B) the stacks of the blinds.

How long until the blinds increase again?

Folding may be a better option, depending on who is left to act after you.

Blinds had recently increased from 1000-2000. The small stack was next to act, a 15k stack was in the small blind with a +25k stack in the BB.

small stack calls my push with QTo, SB calls with QQ

QQ holds up and both of us get eliminated. The very next hand player nr 6 gets eliminated and we have our 5 winners.

I try not to be result oriented, but I now feel that my chances to reach top 5 would have been better allowing myself to blind out unless I hit a real hand.

No regrets though, I'll just have to make sure to qualify next Sunday!

Automatic and correct push. At first I read your post wrong and thought that the BB was 1800, and that would make it somewhat iffy. At 3000, you just absolutely have to go with it.

Again, it'd be different if there were 6 players left. There were 8, you were 7th in chips, and only 5 places would pay out. You have to go with it here with just 4xBB. If you steal the blinds on this hand, you could fold a small ace next time and try to wait another round to pick up a bigger hand. But here you just have no choice.

Your stack isn't big enough to wait it out, as you'd be so small if you folded your blinds in this round that the middle stacks would basically shut down, waiting for you to bust out. And if you took that course and ended up blinding out, and the QQ was not shown, I'm sure you'd be thinking back to this hand wondering what would've happen had you pushed.
