button play

    Default button play

I am thinking about opening up my raise-calling range from the button in my regular 6-max game. I have recently tightened it quite a bit, and I feel that I am losing some value by not playing it more. there are a lot of weak tight players where I play, and I think it would be profitable to play more hands in position.

My current range is something along the lines of any pair <77/88 (the rest i am reraising), the occassional weak suited ace, A9/AT, KT-KQ, and the odd suited/unsuited connector.

I have been 3-betting light from the button lately, and it has been good.

I was considering adding in basically any 2 that are even remotely playable, and any 2 at all versus certain opps for a calling range.

obviously this depends a lot on the specific opponent, but what ranges do you typically play from the button vs. weak-tight players? calling stations? decent players? TAGs? LAGs? or does it not change very much?

Some players in my game are really easy targets for floating so I mix that in (but not too often to make it obvious what I'm doing.)

I like opening up my raise-calling range on the button when the hand is multi-way.
