A couple weird overpair lines.

No relevant reads since I was 8-tabling. These hands were not necessarily well-played, but I thought they were interesting lines from my latest session. Thoughts?

I think hand 1 is okay, but I think you should bet the turn, to charge st. draws and get value from 9x. He is unlikely to make a move since there is no sidepot.

Hand 2, why didn't you raise the flop? The pot is multiway, and you are rarely going to peel a safe turn card here. As played, I'd raise more on the turn.

Interesting. I'm still questioning the value of building a side pot here in hand 1, although it's a pretty easy fold if he reraises and you're going to be good here more often than not. Maybe he'll call with a 9 or Q, and even if he has KJ a call as well.

Hand 2: I dont know if I like giving MP 4:1 on the flop so I tend to pop it here, 2.5x the SB raise, so like $30 or so. I think that turn pairing is a good card for you. On a blank turn I would pot it here as well thinking I'm well ahead, and preparing to fold to any raise. Also, MP is shortstacked, and a raise on the flop will pot commit him either way, which could have a squeeze affect on the SB. If MP goes all in or calls the $30 raise, I go ahead and check the turn and see what MP does. Hopefully he'll push and give us an opportunity to see what SB will do and frankly, with three opponents on this turn in such a huge pot, I don't feel comfortable committing so many chips in the pot with your hand.

Given your line, what do you do on the River if SB calls your raise and the river is a: 1) club, 2) 3 or 8, or 3) a blank and SB blocking bets gayly or checks to you?
