Default double check raise...uhh value bluff?

villain's tag. i've rr pre and c/r the flop a decent amount but overall playing solidly.

what's the best line on the turn?

Ultimate Bet No-Limit Hold'em, $2 BB (2 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)

    Hero ($210.80)
    Button ($423.20)

Preflop: Hero is BB with 8, A.
    Hero calls $0.

    Flop: ($3) 3, 8, 6 (2 players)
Hero checks, Button bets $8, Hero raises to $24, Button calls $16.

    Turn: ($51) 2 (2 players)
Hero checks, Button bets $33, Hero bets all-in $180

(lol, the action pre was raise to $6, i call...)

    Either check/call or bet/call.

Villain will fold if he is behind and call if he is ahead, so your shove has very little value. You also priced out a worse flushdraw, which is bad.

Your line on the turn is perfect with something like 3d4d, where you WANT to price out a flushdraw and get top pair to fold, while still having very decent equity against an overpair/set.

    I like it.

You might get an over-pair to fold and you're not hating yourself if this is checked through.

I like it. Bet call turn is another option, without reads that villain will automatically bet turn if you check it after you checkraised flop (which some villains do), I prefer a bet. In this case, it is more valuable than to risk that he checks behind and you lose some value when a nondiamond overcard falls on the river and you don't know what to do.
The secret to success in poker is to rig the odds in your favor.
