    Default Flopping TPTK versus a calling station ($10)

    This is not a $10 HUSNG, but it's close enough (local currency). Sorry for the shitty HH, I have to do a cut and paste job.

    Villain is horrible and a station and basically will call 1/2 psb's with pretty much everything. I've adjusted and purged bluffing from my play, but doubt his guy even noticed.

    Just a general question, do we want to bet more on this flop? The board isn't especially drawy (although it obv isn't great) and we obviously don't want to lose our opponent. If we only bet more than 1/2 pot with our good hands are we giving away information on the quality of our hands? Does this mean we would need to balance our bet-sizing range by betting 2/3 - full pot with some of our mediocre hands or bluffs?

    Johnny Green Ante/Small blind 15.00
    Hero Big blind/Bring in 30.00
    Hero Card dealt to a spot A K

    Johnny Green Call 15.00
    Hero Raise 90.00
    Johnny Green Call 90.00
    Pot = 240.00

    Card dealt to table T 8 K

    Hero bet 120.00
    Johnny Green Call 120.00
    Pot = 480.00

    Turn 9

    Hero Bet 240.00
    Johnny Green Raise 480.00
    Hero All In 400.00
    Johnny Green Call 160.00

    I don't know, what does he limp/call?
    Some people do it with Q2o, but others will do it with 97s
    or if he does this almost ATC, then he has more hands like QJ/J9 in his range that do have draws on this board

    if I understood right you have 640 chips on the turn and 860 chips on the flop
    pot is 240 on the flop

    so just bet 1/4 of our total chips and ship turn
    so 220 or something and the rest on the turn

    and you already said you're not bluffing him because he's terrible, so just fire close to pot with all your value hands and c/f the rest
    ez game

    I'm not sure what his limp call range is as this is the first time we have reraised his limp from the BB. My guess is that he is so awful, this could be ATC, even hands as weak as 35o.

    I understand expanding his calling range increases the number of QJ/J9 hands he has, but calling so wide also surely dilutes the possibility he actually has one of these hands?

    Also, can you explain the thought process behind betting 1/4 of our stack, as opposed to thinking in terms of pot-odds we are offering the villain?
