update: nothing interesting is really going on postflop, games are really aggro preflop right now, so no fun hands to post

ive made a big comeback by tightening up a ton preflop instead of playing 27/22 since thats getting no respect right now

i might take a break to watch the cuse game and hope that the games are softer in a little while

A lot of these hands are decent, but I dont like that 8d9d hand, with the turn 3-bet. Did you think he was raising 99-QQ and you were trying to get him off those better hands?

Or was this for value? If you think you're ahead I don tmind a call and c/c river line.

nah it seemed like he had TT-QQ type, King no kicker i think he has to call down with because although rel strength is the same theres one less K for me to have and its also the top of his range after flop check

That's like an inverted bad beat, or something. Lousy short stack. You know redargoe was doubling you up there.

update, after 4 hours+ of 6 tabling, i am down 50 dollars. taking a break for an hour to relax my mind and muscles.
this has been a very swingy session so far by my standards...was down 3k, then back within a buyin, then back down 2.5k after playing extremely poorly, and finally back to even. i vow to play my A game when i resume my session.

bode it depends on the hands and your steam control.

If we lose a few flips with draws or take a couple bad beats, by no means should we quit if the game is still beatable and our steam control is good.

OTOH if you have tilt issues, 3BI is probably a good stop-gap.

personally I swing 2BI many many sessions and 3 is not that uncommon. I quit based on how I'm playing more than any results.

Some of these hands look totally nuts (ha ha) to me, but I don't know his history with these guys. It seems after one of these crazy pots where you get it in way behind happens, it's a good idea to tighten up and try to get paid, then shift back to being crazier. Do you think you are shifting gears often enough?

Do you think you are shifting gears often enough?
dude, i was kidding. i swing 2 or 3 buyins in one direction or the other all the time. i usually set my stop loss at 4 so i dont go on crazy monkey tilt or something.

i don't really know much about euph's game, so I wouldn't get that.

since my stop is usually 4-5 depending on what happened, I could believe someone with tilt issues might go with 3

How bad would it be to spank the flop after the bet/call/raise/call? Instead of calling that is. The obviously like their hands and there are any number of turn cards that may dampen action.

KoC is a really good player and if i backraise the flop after this action, i pretty much announce that i have the nuts. He squeezes JJ pre so when i backraise i expect him to pitch probably everything but T9 and 88. When i just call, it allows him to shove 87s, J8s, 77, and semibluffs on the turn. I don't slowplay hands much at all but i definitely think it was optimal here.
