Default He wouldn't do this with AA would he?

Villian is a solid TAG, 25/16 ish player. Haven't seen him do anything out of the ordinary. I have reraised him pf maybe 3 times in the last hour on different tables. This is the first time he has played back.

I don't believe he has a monster. Agree?

he probably thinks you are reraising light since he saw you squeeze with J7s. but since he knows that you know that he knows this, maybe he would do it with AA?

Do you want to play for stacks with, at best, a coin-flip hand? Figure he has TT+/AK (maybe AQs?), on a flop that you miss where he leads into you what do you do? If it's fold, then calling has to be -EV.

He could do this with any pair, 67s etc even Aj sometimes. Depends on his view of how light I can reraise. Put it this way, he could do this with AT and actually have the best hand alot.

But yeah, this is a push or fold situation I think. I'm not sure though because of the "only better hands will call" implications.

That's why his bet is good (almost irrelevant of his actual hand).

    Downswinging holla!
Stacks are a tad bit deeper than normal, and he also raised UTG, so I think this a spot to lay down AK even though there's a decent chance you're laying down the best hand.

If you think he folds QQ/JJ/AK then it's a decent spot to move in, but if you think he will call with a wide range then it's probably a fold. I think it's very likely he has KK/QQ/AK here in particular.

With the shorty open-limper and the shorty in the SB calling the pfr, this squeeze is just awful.

    Irish,

In the original hand, I would usually just muck. I don't think one squeeze with suited/semi connected junk is reason enough to stack off with AK at over 130bb deep when you are facing a large preflop 4-bet. If you're very confident he doesn't have the dreaded KK/AA, push.

Does anybody like peeling a flop here? Irish is obviously over-repping his hand if he calls at this point, and a smart villain isn't going to auto c-bet the flop after Irish calls a big 4-bet.

Ya I know. Silly me never looked at stacksizes.
