Default Heads Up After 5-Table SNG

Last night I entered a 10+1 5-table SNG for fun on Party. I thought I played an exceptional endgame, with some luck at opportune times, and really had the advantage until it went heads up. At first, I like my chances, because I'm a decent NL HU cashgame player, and we had high M's. Soon, I realized that the M's mattered less because my opponent was itching to end the tournament as soon as possible. For the most part, I held below median hands facing all-in bets, and was knocked out when my tighter style hit an unlucky river.

I'm looking for comments on my play--I've posted the heads-up session below. I tried to use the hand converter for the session, but it would only produce one hand, so I just put in the text file. PM me with how to use the hand converter if it bugs you.

    thanks.

Ok, the main tactical error on ur part that i see is u limped once, he raised all-in, then u never bothered to limp again, rather opting to fold. I believe it's Harrington who says it's a mistake to open fold (in position, great odds) HU. U should have limped those hands where u folded. Now if he pushes all-in say3 times in a row when doing this, then u know that every time u limp that he thinks ur weak and is going to push. U can then take advantage of this by limping with a premium hand, he'll push, u call. The other advantage of limping those hands u folded is that since this guy is pushing like a maniac postflop, if u limp in and he happens to check, then if he open pushes a flop if u hit a solid piece u can call. However, it will only cost u 600 more chips ig u miss as supposed to the 3000 chips it cost u when u raises and does that. 600 chips is not much compared to ur stack, so u should be calling the bb until he proves to u he's going to most likely push.

Most of the time yes. BUT, there may be reads that he didn't supply. If I'm nearing the heads up portion of a SnG, I want to know before that point if I can limp into opp or not.

People play different HU, so even if you suspect that he will raise your limps with anything, it can be worth it to limp a few times. Heads up with short stacks is pretty much all cards (unless someone is too tight), Heads up with deeper stacks is pretty much all metagame - getting the other guy to think you are bluffing when you are not. Otherwise, it's just going to come down to you both getting a hand you are going with (either preflop or post flop) and best hand wins (aka coinflip).

I might have checked that set of 2s in the first hand, some times you just gotta trap (easy to say when he folds to the first bet)
