    Default Heads Up Play

Not sure where to post this. I've been considering playing some heads up for a little while...at least to mix things up between cash games. I tend to do very well heads up in SNGs which I rarely play any more (mostly because the time invested is too much for me).

Today I figured I would give it a shot and did a HU SNG for $50. SNGs are a good start I think because you don't have to pay so much rake and you can avoid the short stack hit-n-runs. If I get good enough I'll switch to cash game though - especially since I have rakeback.

Anyway, I won that SNG fairly easily. I know luck is involved but I like to think I manipulated my opponent by showing bluffs and made hands at times to confuse and annoy him. This does not mean I'm good or bad yet. Time will tell.

I don't see any HU forums here. Does anybody play? If so where do you discuss? I know people have some strats. I plan to have a general strategy but I would think HU is about reading the opponent and going with your gut.

I'm currently playing shorthanded 100/200NL as my main game. I'm not sure what the bankroll equivalent is for HU. I'm leaning toward playing $50 or $100 to start unless I see the skill level too much for me.

    Any help is appreciated.

Like you, I got bored recently and tried HU (albeit at $10). Only have a few rounds under my belt, but it was fun. Like you said, you have to mix it up against the villain. In my limited experience, the opponents could be good or bad. Against the good ones, those who ALSO mixed it up and would push back with some regularity, I had a harder time and it usually came down to the cards.

I agree a HU addition to the forum might be interesting. Not only for HU games as you describe but for those situations in STT and MTTs where you are HU looking for the win.
