    Default Help with heads up.

Ok, it seems every time i play recently i can get to heads up with little or no difficulty. (We play a 10 dollar freezeout locally. ) Anyway, when i get to heads up granted im not expecting the best of starting hands but it feels like all im seeing at the moment is like 3 8 os or 2 7 os almost every hand. My question is am i just out of luck catching bad cards? b/c even if i bluff sooner or later im going to have to show down a decent hand.

Secondly does anyone have any tips or pointers they might be able to give me? I know thats a very general question, but most people see me as a Solid Player who can change and does change gears frequently.

    Thanks.

Go in the SnG section of the forum and click the faq sticky. There's links in there relating to heads up play.

playing heads up you should rarely have to showdown. pick a spot, raise preflop, raise the flop, he will fold. rinse and repeat. if you flop a pair, treat it like tptk even if its bottom pair crap kick. you will eventually have to showdown a good hand: I find i generally win my heads up matches when i get top pair and sucker them into pushing with second pair or whatever, or i get two pair and sucker them into pushing with whatever. heads up, 2 pair = nuts unless there's something obvious they made
i betcha that i got something you ain't got, that's called courage, it don't come from no liquor bottle, it ain't scotch
