    Default how bad is this?

    50 NL

effective stacks are $44. I have been moderately aggressive so far. the opp in this hand has 3-bet me pf three or four times so far in a short span, and I have been dutifully folding to him, until this hand. I am in the SB w/ AKo. the button limps, so I raise it to $2.25. opp is BB in this hand. he makes his standard 3-bet, button folds, so I push. is this horrible given how often he has been reraising me pf?

no way given ur oop and the history...I've been called by AQ- in this spot before.
u could raise to pot size and open push the flop too, but I'm not sure what's better.

David Sklansky would say to push, unless you put him on AA.

Not advice, but what would a 4bet non-allin based on size of 3bet accomplish? Anything?

the 3-bet is always the 'bet pot' button by this opp. however much that makes it; pot is at 3.25 before opp acts.

if I 4-bet and he flat calls, I clearly have to lead any flop, but opp surely must know this.

Although if he pushes over pf I have to fold as that really narrows his range. but at least I save approx. 1/2 a stack.

i would push if it wasnt much of an overbet. like if you make it $3 and he minreraises to $5, i would just pop it up to 17ish, but if he made it $10 i would just push

what about if he makes it right in the middle, with 7.50? I would assume that you'd lean more towards the 17-20 re-pop as opposed to the push here as well.

yea probably. you say he is aggressive but you didnt mention is calling tendencies. if hes a calling station im more likely to just push anyway even if he just made it $5.

with a single raise pf he was pretty loose with the calls. even after a min-3-bet he would be likely to call with speculative hands (or so it seemed). really liked to see flops from the BB.

With a big 4-bet I don't really know though. probably more likely to call than most players, but I can't be sure.
