Default How bad is this shorstack leak?

UTG/MP/wherever villain makes it 3-4x to go. Hero, who is buying in for half and being a ratholing bastard, tends to just call.

    How much am I leaking?

And could it be one of the major reasons I'm losing at SHNL?

fold preflop. The easiest way to do the calculations is run a pokerstove of your hand and how well it outflops AA and you'll see that very rarely HU you can call, especially playing only 25 BB effective stacks.

Now, if you're talking 100 BB stacks and you have position, you can try and take the pot down when he misses, but thats not your question asked in this thread.

Actually, 56s has the best chance to beat AA of any hand in poker. The reason that it's a stupid thing to do is that the more short-stacked you are, the more poker becomes a game of making top pair. The bigger stacks are, the more you need to look for 2p+ hands, so these speculative sc hands become better to play. So if you want to shortstack ninja, stick to the bigger hands.

Unnecessary, lets not do that again, ok? Point out where/why he's wrong, or keep your mouth shut.

well it was a perfectly good comment by jack so i don't think it matters what stakes he's playin.

with 100BB stacks you actually get to play some real poker. Shortstacking simplifies things, you have to play broadway top pair hands and most of the time take them all the way.

Almost definitely a big leak...I (and think most ppl) call allin semibluffs from shortys with tons of hands, and even if they hit, they can't make much $.
