Thought about this a little more on the way to pick up caffeine
In NLHE there is more than one way to skin a cat. Some people use hyper-aggression to take away pots from weak players and induce mistakes and that works for them. I've switched to a tigher, pot-control, selective aggression game. Most of my opponents have some pretty terrible leaks including playing too many hands, running transparent lines, trapping themselves, etc. Rather than force mistakes I identify and destroy. That might not fly in some bigger games. For 100 and 200 nl, it works great and since making these adjustments I swing less and win more. When I compare my earlier 100 play to my newer 100 and 200 hands, I tend to be in way better spots when all of the money goes into the pot.
