How many hands, pre-flop? A $1 PFR is not very effective with more than 2 opps. I usually go to $1.25 for 3 opps and $1.50 for 4 or more with AKs.
This is a tough hand OOP. At the flop you could be up against an overpair, TPTK , MPTK or even a draw. It would help to know the range of hands your opp. would call the PFR, given position and pot size. I'm not even sure I would follow through with a bluff here (your bet is not a continuation bet, its a probe bet which is really a bluff - if you had position and he checked to you, THAT would be a continuation bet). Against a strong opp. I would check/fold here - especially with a raggy board: your PFR said you had high-cards, now you are trying to represent a different hand - this would look strange and is not the best place to bluff. If you do bluff, you need to bet more. I would come out with a $3.50 bet here. Only someone who caught the flop in a big way will call that. That bet will cause him to reevaluate your hand and maybe put you on an overpair. If he calls and you catch your A, then you can bet the turn and fold the river knowing you are beat.
Getting information from your opp. OOP is always a challenge.
