Default is HU even worth it if you are playing 50NL?

I was playing a buddy last night HU for $50 and after the session i looked at the PT stats. I played 216 hands and was basically even, but the rake was $11.55, and then i came to thinking about how its not worth it, because unlike 6 max you get raked 50% hands dealt (appx.). Anybody aggree or disagree?

Completely agree. I guess you need a much bigger edge HU to make it worthwhile?

I play allot of HU limit and I run into the same problem, after 100 hands the rake has taken allot off of the table, but HU does give the skilled player the biggest edge. You have to feel out your opponents quickly, sometimes you can see that there is a big gap in your skill levels and it's worth the rake other times you can tell that you are closely matched or maybe even outclassed and it's just not worth playing.

tableselection! 50NL HU can be profitable if u refuse to play tough opponents and wait for the limp/stack-off fish.

I have 7k hands of 50NL HU logged last month for 7.88ptbb/100 or a net of $550, generating $375 rake. Getting 30% or $125 RB 50NL might be profitable even even if stop running hot.

I have 35% RB and bonus clearing at 5x and given really bad opponents - for me it's worth it. Without all the above - NO. Up to nl100 (preferably nl200 and up) rake is brutal and you should stick to SNGs if HU is your 'crack'.
