The only problem I see with simply calling this hand on the flop is that you might not have gotten all the others to fold (even though they did). I raise there may have given you a bit more information.
Let's say you re-raised him in that situation. If he pushes then you have to weigh whether your nut flush draw with middle pair is worth the call. If the odds would have been in your favor to call then it would have been worth it.
I'm guessing that this guy may have had two overs and hit his King on the turn. I reraise from you on the flop may have slowed him down. The keyword there however is "may". If you feared his tilt factor then he already has you intimidated.
I think you probably got as cheap a view on the turn as you could given your read of the guy. Not faulting your call. If you feared him pushing to a reraise then that should be telling you something about how you really felt about your hand and your chances.
Go with your instincts. You'd be surprised how often you are right.
