    POKERSTARS GAME #7977894488: HOLD'EM NO LIMIT ($0.50/$1.00) - 2007/01/16 - 22:49:57 (ET)

    CodeRedRulez: calls $4
    redgrape: folds

CodeRedRulez: raises $80.50 to $98.50 and is all-in
NutsInYoEye: thinks for like 3 seconds and then calls $80.50

...and stinkybeaver for then explaining to me for like 20 mins why my play completely threw my cards face up on the table. However, the question is, if you have a strong suspicion that he is making a squeeze play here (and I think he is at least 50% of the time here, or at least that is what i was thinking), is there a better way to defend against it than pushing allin preflop? I rarely rarely see a squeeze at the 100nl games (thus why i'm posting it) and i rarely rarely see a call then push preflop that isn't AA.

as said you are not telling a story I would believe by call/pushing

Had you raised/and then fourbet you might get some fold equity.

How do you defend squeeze plays..? make em yourselfs or make looser calls. I prefer the first option.

say for instance that there are one more caller then the raise will be bigger and shortening your odds so I'm not messing around.

But I'm also interested to ehar about defending against squeezeplays.

I don't think that table really qualifies as a standard $100 table...

This would be an awesome table to call after a limper and shove over with AA.

You are getting 2:1 with a reasonable holding (i.e, not like T2o) and position. There is still 80 behind. If he does not have a big pair and whiffs the flop you might take it away. If he does have a big pair, you might only lose 1/2 your stack...
