After getting raised to $14 the guy bets small again. Ive been seing a lot of small trapping bets like this before, and I felt like he was dying for a raise. Since all I had was AK, I let it go. I felt like a bitch for doing this after a huge raise, but obviously the guy had something. Do you think I could have pushed him off or was he hoping for a raise? I know its no question to fold after a bluff, but what do you put him on?

I dont even know what im asking for in this hand. If you feel like it, tell me something about it.

Its a shitty, shitty 2 days in the poker world for me. Not because of this hand, but just overall.

The fact that he called instead of raising signals this is not a bluff. I'd fold.

I think I have successfully bluffed w/ a cold call or similar act of slowplaying one time in my entire life. I will not ever try it and will fold to cold calls more than I will to huge raises.

ive foudn normally when players keep leading out small like this they are on a draw and just want you to call so they can get at it cheaply. but in this situation this isnt a flop for a drawing hand so i would probably put him on something strong.. maybe trips trying to get you to go all in

I think he had either Aces or Kings here, he raises, what, 4x? and smooth calls a reraise, then bets out again on an unconnected board into someone who obviously likes his hand.

    Good fold IMO.

I think I'd just call the bet preflop and try to conceal my hand a little more. Small raising to $5 just screams AK. On the flop your play is good but a min-bet to $8 would work just as well. Also when doing a min bet to test him, I like to do it mostly when I'm headsup with the person. Don't over-do your min bets like you did to $14 because this is a sign of a missed AK alot of the time. I like to trap people who do that..

It possibly would have worked, but I never make small bets or small raises unless I am trapping. I also play AA, KK, QQ the same here so hopefully next time he does think Im screaming missed AK.
