i like hand two because i think its the only one that u win money in
  5. #5
    2 is standard.

I'm saddedned to say I don't really understand the rest of them.

With regards to 1 and 3, are the frequencies with which people bluff raise A high flops way higher at these stakes then what I would be used to?
  6. #6
this has gotta be an image post.

I thought I spewed a lot.. horrible gabe.

you guys dont like #4? i think reasonable opponents fold Jx there and usually flushes
  8. #8
I mean personally these all look like spews, besides 1, if ur image is really that bad i think this is good.
On hand 4 don't u think villan is thinking ur range is way too wide to fold Jx or flushes?
Hand 3: What hands in this guys range c/r the flop and fold on a drawless board?
Hand 2: is opp ever folding? I mean idk that opp will fold AK here with your image. His threebet range has to be really really light.

im horribly grounded to the first level for eternity, but given that your image sucks, shouldn't u be refraining from attempting to push people off near nut hands?

I mean, when someone im playing with has a sucky image and goes all in against me, representing a boat when i have a flush or trips, im calling, and im usually good.

Or is this more about being on the 3rd level and trying to make them think that you are using your spewtastic image to get paid, when in reality u are continuing your spewtasm.

but honestly, speaking specifically about that AT hand, did u really expect him to stick 40bb out there and make a crying fold with QJ to your shove when he's only gotta be good like 29 or 30% of the time? Especially considering your image?

yea i did expect it. the more i play with that guy the more i realize how many mistake he makes so im not planning on pulling too many moves on this guy. if i was him, i think i would fold QJ.

that would indicate a lot of respect for your player i guess. Most players would feel pot committed there (and probably be right in feeling so).

I don't like any of them but I also don't understand any of what goes on at your game.

Someone called hand #2 standard. I'll take his word for it. But the result makes me hate you because you're one of those guys.

In regards to your discussion with Renton about hand #4, doesn't your play belong more in a TAgg vs TAgg game?

Hands 1 and 2 look pretty spewy, much more than the others. That is because I think your play is pretty consistent with drawing hands on those boards. Hand 3 I can see working for you as the SB is going to try and make a play on you with marginal hands.

Hand 4, I dont think he has a Jack or a diamond. If you call here you may be ahead regardless so I dont see the value in pushing the river. As, he's not folding a Jack or the flush or anything that beats you. FWIW, I think the Jack pairing is a good card for your hand.

people have no idea what they're talking about and this is by no means standard.

It is probably +EV against a player that is really out of line preflop but I doubt this is the case.

Obviously thats what I mean, if you get 3 bet enough this will definitly become one of those things you gotta do every so often.

    Thanks for the compliment though.

gotcha, standard = every so often

also, when you do this play every so often, it's far better to do it with the hand that at least has some equity when called, even if it's only ace high or something.

    Here's my take:

#1 - all you are beating is a flush draw. Given that he raised preflop I think it's much more likely he has Ax or a pair than 2 hearts. Even with 2 hearts you are less than even money.

#2 - terrible image + pushing over strength = needing a suckout to win

#3 - best of the 4, at least you have outs and fold equity

#4 - you have more than air here, why not just call? I don't see any better hands folding since your image is crappy.
Some days it feels like I've been standing forever, waiting for the bank teller to return so I can cash in all these Sklansky Bucks.

no no, standard means just go all in everytime you get 3bet and you have QJ.

And yeah you're right, I'd rather have AK but whatevs.

gabe - you are sick. i have no idea how you win playing how you do. if someone was playing like that at $50NL i would take all there money off them in less than 10 hands. those hands are soooo mental. how could anyone ever fold a hand to you? even bottom pair.

i wish i could play at your level of thinking and stakes. those plays are just crazy. can you post how you can justify any of those hands and what you and your opponents were thinking in all 4 hands?
ps - i think 90% of the people here have got no idea what to say about any of this - including me.

    hand 1:
i c/red because looked like i had a set and thought he would fold Ax. he pushed and made me think he had a flushdraw or a set (i dont think he would raise A5 in this spot). i ended up winning the pot vs his QJh.

    hand 2:
he had KK, running queens, ship it. this play is the worst out of all of them.

    hand 3
the villian and I had been some headsup tables for a long time and he was playing really passive with the occasional bluff. he slowplays everythin so my plan on flop was to cal and push him off hand later. he ended up having 22 and i missed.

    hand 4:
i think this is a good bluff if you have a rock like image and if villian knows how to fold. neither one of these were true.

lol. so then why did you do it? was it a mistake? or had you not played much with this opponent?

yea turning and rivering yahtzee was crucial to your strategy in hand two. I've played hundreds of thousands of hands and i can't figure out how to do this with any regularity.

hand 2 he makes queens full.

hand 3 the history ends on the turn and gp has a FD
