Default Implied odds or bad play?

Villain is loose preflop caller, but gives up if flop doesn't help. It is first time in the session that he check/raised my cbet (I was cbetting ~ 100% of the time). Based on his previous play I believe I had close to 0% folding equity here, so my implied odds are 11.83-to-1 for (4 outs) 11.75-to-1 shot. Only problem is that I couldn't really get all those numbers at the table, I just figured out that he will not fold and that pot + effective stack were more than 10x amount to call. Sure enough, I've got my straight but still can't get rid of the feeling that this was bad play.

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (5 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)

    BB ($28.68)
    Hero ($13.50)
    MP ($4.61)
    Button ($21.45)
    SB ($25.62)

Preflop: Hero is UTG with K, Q. SB posts a blind of $0.10.
Hero raises to $1, 2 folds, SB (poster) calls $0.90, 1 fold.

    Flop: ($2.25) 4, A, T (2 players)
SB checks, Hero bets $1.5, SB raises to $3, Hero calls $1.50.

    Turn: ($8.25) J (2 players)
    SB bets $2, Hero raises $9.50 (All-In)

If he used to give up on the flop and he never c/r you before, then I would give up here, because you are likely facing toppair or better here and will probably face some sort of bet on the turn again cutting down your odds. I'm not sure though, you have position so you might get a free card on the turn if he checks to you

I'd raise the turn to $4 and stick the rest in on any river. He's not drawing, so ease it in gently.

Also, do you want to buy-in short in this game?

I'm pretty sure that once he decided to take a stand, he's not folding, so if I hit my straight we're AI.

    Agree. Was little reckless here.

Good point. The only reason for buying-in half is insufficient BR, yet. Two weeks ago Party gave me free 40$ and I started to play little (lowest stakes) NL25, with the idea: "It's free money, let's give it a try". Now I'm at ~110$ and as soon as I become properly rolled I'll play as I'm supposed to. Till then it's low variance/low profit grind
